As a student radiographer who regularly spends his time working at both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital, International House is ideal. It is a place where my course mates and I can all live, socialise and relax after a hard day’s work. Just around the corner is Princes Avenue, a street which has much to offer in the way of pubs and bars. There are also regular bus services which either take you to Castle Hospital and Cottingham, or in the other
direction towards the city centre.

Honestly, I feel we are lucky to have somewhere that we can all stay together, within such a sort walking distance of Hull Royal Infirmary, and the station and town centre. And the Wardens are so friendly and helpful, and will genuinely help with any problem you may have with your room. It’s all you really need.

As a resident for more than nine years I am very delighted to tell you about HIH. The house is well maintained, cleaned daily by four nice and hardworking ladies. The wardens are always really friendly and helpful.

What I like most about this house is the peaceful and safe environment and you can also meet people from different countries and backgrounds. This is a place you can easily make friends. I also like a green garden especially in summer time when I can invite friends for a barbecue.

It’s been almost three years since I come to Hull International House. I originally intended to stay for no more than 3 months.  There have been numerous opportunities to leave, but I’ve always chosen to stay. The house itself is situated in a nice residential area, with somewhat artistic and bohemian appeal.

I have spent most of my adult life as a student, living in various student halls in London, Leicester and Nottingham. So I know well all good and no so good things coming with such life. But this House, in many ways similar to student halls, keeps a nice, caring and friendly outlook. I have been truly lucky to meet all good people, residents here, from various parts of the country and the world. Different cultures, habits and beliefs…different dreams…yet kindly tolerating and ready to help each other.

Everything I can say about HIH is good.
The house is kept very clean whatever you need is in this one place.
